I think the creature png is used as a "checksum" to get the real creature data from the server. So when you drag a creature image into the spore editor, it will send the image to the server, which in turn will lookup the creature data and send it back.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I didn't verify this, but its about the only thing I can imagine, because I've used a png chunk viewer, and there is simply no space left besides the image pixels to store additional data.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4738675137501261671/4694810498254943713/comments/default/3807578155546982818'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4738675137501261671/4694810498254943713/comments/default/3807578155546982818'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.rouli.net/2008/07/sporegate-day-after.html?showComment=1217706780000#c3807578155546982818' title=''/><author><name>Anonymous</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.rouli.net/2008/07/sporegate-day-after.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738675137501261671.post-4694810498254943713' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4738675137501261671/posts/default/4694810498254943713' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
